Michael graduated with an MBCHB from Otago University in 2002. And has worked in NZ as well as Tasmania, Ireland and Zambia in the intervening years. He has also undertaken further study in London and through Otago completing a Diploma in Tropical Medicine and Hygeine as well a Diploma of Child Health. He returned to Christchurch just over 2 years ago and sat and passes his FRACP part 1 exams last year. He is now training in Infectious Diseases medicine and joins the Microbiology department for 6 months as part of his training.
