| Preceding (24 hour) and during urine sampling the patient should avoid histamine containing nutrition. For example cheese, yoghurt, sauerkraut and wine. Also canned fish should be avoided for the presence of histidine, which can be converted into histamine. Vasodilator and salicylate drugs should be avoided if possible. Please give details of any medication on the request form.
