Priority 1: A Culture of Open Disclosure

Openly disclosing and discussing events that have resulted in patient/consumer harm is an important aspect of the relationship between our sector and the patients/consumers and communities we serve. The principles of open disclosure include acknowledgement, apology and the provision of information in a timely, open and honest way.
