Application Process

Please note that if you are a New Zealand Graduate or an overseas trained NZREX graduate and you are applying for a FIRST YEAR HOUSE OFFICER position, please go to the following website for application instructions:   www.acenz.net.nz

The application process for ALL OTHER RMOs is as follows:

2. Gather the following application documents

  • completed application form

  • up to date copy of your CV

  • copy of your current NZ practising certificate (if you have one with the NZ Medical Council)

3. Send your application documents BY POST or FAX to:

You do not need to use a Recruitment Agency you can apply directly to Canterbury District Health Board.

Applications for House Officer positions commencing August 2010 will be accepted after 01 October 2009.

FOUNDATION YEAR 2 POSITIONS
F2 positions for the year from August 2010 to August 2011 have now been filled and we regret that we are unable to accept further applications for these positions.

For F2 positions commencing 2011 you need to make an application as part of our annual recruitment which opens on 08 May 2010. Follow the usual application process and include with your application a covering letter advising of your request to undertake an F2 placement.

Please note: If you are a house officer applying for one of the following areas

You must send in a separate application form and CV for each area for which you wish to be considered.

PLEASE NOTE:

4. Ensure that your CV includes full details of your referees as we shall
    contact them directly (please include their email address)
   (Don't forget to advise your referees of your application).

5. We shall acknowledge receipt of your application.

6. You will be advised of the outcome of your application in accordance
    with the above timetable.
